SoundStart

How long will I wait for help for my child?

We attempt to arrange assessments within three months from the time of referral.

I live in the county--will I have to drive my child to Sarnia for help?

SoundStart offers services in all Best Start Hubs and in some daycare centres throughout the Sarnia-Lambton area. Information drop-ins and scheduled assessments are located throughout Sarnia-Lambton several times each month in sites from Grand Bend to Port Lambton. Please see our current schedule for specific dates and locations.

What are the costs associated with speech and language services through SoundStart?

SoundStart services are provided at no cost to families. SoundStart is funded through the Ministry of Children and Youth Services and is led locally through Pathways Health Centre for Children.
